About Symbiosis
Formed in 1992, Symbiosis originate from a strong developer background and the creation of a wide
range of intranet based business applications and CMS driven websites for a variety of clients ranging
from corporates to government bodies and SME's. We pride ourselves on our ability to produce
appropriate and scalable solutions which address the sometimes divergent needs of end-users and
client. We also recognise the importance of skills transfer and training and the need for the client to
take ownership of their solution - ever changing business needs and the requirement to constantly
update information means a host of tasks need to be managed internally to remain effective.
We have used FileMaker for the past 12 years and while able to produce stand-alone bespoke solutions,
we more often evaluate the requirements, define an approach and then work closely with the clients
internal development team to instigate and manage the build of the finished solution. This combination
of consultancy, training and/or project management ensures that the internal team are best equipped to
maintain and develop further solutions themselves.
We produce solutions for the Mac or Windows platform. In addition to being a member of the FileMaker
Alliance Program, Symbiosis are authorised Apple, Adobe and Quark training partners.
